The CT Edge Advantage

The CT Edge blade wants to turn hard without losing an edge. Whereas with a conventional skate blade you are actually forcing it to turn expending energy unnecessarily.

CT Edge for Goalies:

Research and development is currently underway. We believe that the CT Edge Skate Blade design will improve the overall agility for goaltenders, (especially goalies playing the butterfly style) by angling the cutting edges of the goalie blade to as much as 8° - 12°.

Optimum blade angle dependent on factors noted in research and testing. By changing the goalie blades bite angle with the ice, (again correcting the geometry of the cutting edge) our belief is that there will be a reduction in groin pulls, abdominal strains and other related injuries that are common in the NHL today.

The CT Edge:

The angling of the cutting edge in combination with the rocker of the blade, gives the cutting edge geometry of a two dimensional curve.

This design gives the CT Edge blade a natural tendency to want to turn. This change in the relationship of the cutting edge to the ice surface retains more sheer area of ice supporting the skater.
